At 8 years of age his right leg was amputated due to a very rare disease that affects only 5 people in the world every 100 years, and that had forced him on a wheelchair from the age of 5. Since 2009 he has been walking with a prosthesis and, in the the same year, he began to practice wheelchair foiling. In 2016 he is the youngest athlete of the whole Italian delegation at the Rio Paralympics.
Enrolled in Automation Engineering at the University of Bologna, he has the dream of designing new innovative models in the field of prostheses to help other amputees like him.
He made his debut with the National team in 2015. He is currently 5th in the world ranking for qualifying in Tokyo 2020 in the foil, and 6th in the sword.
Italian champion in charge in foil and individual sword. In 2017 he graduated world champion in team foil and, a year later, he became Under 23 world champion in individual foil.
